Yup…I did it…I jumped on the blogging bandwagon. I am joining the game. Putting in my two cents. Why not, right? I have been thinking about it for a while and kept shooting down my own ideas with excuses – “I work full-time”, ”I have a toddler at home”, “I barely have time for myself”. This list goes on and on, but you know what? It’s all bullshit. I know I can find the time. Can I promise a post a week? In all honesty, I don’t know yet, but I sure as hell am going to try.
So some things you should know about me as I start this new endeavor…native South Floridian transplanted in the Northeast (and shhh don’t tell my mom but I kinda like it better up here). I work in Public Relations for SHIFT Communications, but my most demanding client by FAR is my 19 month old. She calls the shots and I am not going to pretend otherwise. I am a wannabe Foodie and while I am whipping up pseudo-gourmet concoctions in my galley kitchen in my little Boston apartment, I dream of a bigger kitchen with a huge island, Viking stove and double convection ovens (I spend quite a lot of time watching HGTV)
And last but not least, the driving force behind me finally starting a blog. I have what some might call an “obession” with tot fashion. I’m not talking about onesies with Winnie the Pooh dipping his fat little bear hand into a Honey Pot. I am talking clothes that are so damn cute there are adults that would kill for them. I have always oohed and ahhed at tiny little dark-wash jeans and leopard print hair bows, but having a daughter sealed the deal and made me pay attention in a way I never have before. My pipe dream is to open a children’s clothing store with one of my closest and dearest friends…maybe in my next life. So for now, this blog will serve as an outlet for me to explore all things fashion for little peanuts like mine. I will mix it up and talk about other things related to work, mommyhood and life in general and my hope is that you will join the conversation!
Oh and by the way, maybe not the best timing to commit to starting my own blog, but we are moving to NYC in four days….FOUR DAYS!!! So as I begin my transition to Manhattanite mommy, I will simultaneously aspire to become a blogger. Wish me luck!!
Rachel

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! and I totally agree with the tot fashion….was in the Burberry store yesterday and nearly died when I was in the baby/kids section.

Rachel,
You’re gonna rock the blog world for sure, as well as 71st. Street. Can we open a couture spa with the clothing store? If anyone can stand out in a crowd, it’s you!
Love
Savta
Always love reading everything & anything you write.
I will ignore the comment about loving the ice-cold weather better than the sun 365 days a year .
( There will be no jewish guilt @ this time.)
I do know of a house in Boca with all of the specifications you have mentioned!
I wish you, Evan & Princess Ava the best in your new home. I will continue to have a blast buying little girl clothes until you have manufactured her own line. I love you more!!!! xxxxxooooo
Dear Rachel,
I am so proud of you.
Literally millions stand at the doorstep waiting for knowledge. You are the one who can satisfy them.
This is the perfect storm of person, purpose and passion.
May you continue to rain wisdom.
Love,
Dad
love your ambition and as always, you will succeed at all you do! LOVE the name!
Go you!! I can’t wait to read more and maybe pick up some fashion tips for my two little divas.
Love it! Can’t wait to read more. Plus, Addison’s wardrobe is so 09′ so I could really use some pointers to the good finds;)
Congratulations! Can’t wait to read more. Love the design. I started a blog a few weeks ago, too, but have not done much promotion because, quite frankly, it is ugly. But as soon as I have the time (read: as soon as Scott has time to help me), I hope to change that! Best of luck! xo
